We trialed a new way of sharing the activities and experiences associated with a retreat on the weekend of 1st -3rd May 2020. It was a great success and we will be having another go over the coming months. Dates will be announced here, and via our social media channels over the next few weeks.
Activities shared this time were yoga, balance board exercises, baking and cooking, chill-out session round the fire, star gazing and sharing the dawn chorus. There was a mixture of live and pre-recorded experiences, and activities to try out at home and on your daily exercise walks.
We hope to bring you more activities and experiences over the next few months and are keen to hear suggestions if you have any.
Our next retreat is on 29-31st May 2020 and has a ‘Family Festival’ theme. We already have music, activities, crafts, yummy food and drinks, workshops and experiences lined up for you.
Women's Eco-Nurture Group
We are working with the Women’s Centre in Cornwall to deliver an online Eco-Nurture group that is trying to reconnect young women with nature and each other through daily check-in’s and guided activities. The aim is to improve mental well-being by mindfully connecting with mind, body and spirit in the outdoors.
The week long programme will involve daily ‘live’ video calls and 3 short tasks for the young women to complete whilst on their daily exercise walks and/or from the comfort of their own gardens.
We are hoping to run at least one a month for small groups of young women experiencing anxiety, depression and/or social isolation. We launch our pilot during half-term week;
25-29th May 2020
