Wild Camp Training
Everything we do at WW&W is to enable us to deliver our main Outreach Programme; Wild Camp Training. We are working in partnership with local watersports providers like Cornwall Watersports @Pentewen Sands and The PaddleShed @Portmellon to deliver 3 and/or 6-week courses that develop canoe, kayak and SUP paddling skills, camp fire cooking and basic expedition training.
The aim is to empower young women, increase connectivity with nature and their communities and increase physical and mental well-being, in particular Emotional Literacy (self-belief, motivation, self-regulation, social skills, empathy).

A typical course runs for either 6 consecutive weeks, 1 day a week, or 3 consecutive weeks, 2 days a week, with the last session including a Wild Camp Overnight stay.
This is a referral service so anyone can suggest suitable individuals for the course.
Requirements are they are;
- female
- between 14-25
- N.E.E.T or at risk of becoming N.E.E.T
- confident around water
- able to cope with being outside for the whole day
WW&W is looking to extend this offer to vulnerable families and young carers in the near future.
