Breaking Down Barriers to Blue Health for All Ages
Since 2019, our Community Watersports Project has helped people of all ages in St Austell Bay get active in, on and around the sea.
Our aim is to break down barriers to accessing the coast, building confidence and connection through fun, inclusive activities in the natural environment.
With support from Sport England, Cornwall Council, Mevagissey Parish Council and our community, we’ve been able to offer affordable kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkelling and sea swimming opportunities to over 60 participants aged 3 to 77. The project continues to make watersports more accessible while promoting wellbeing, confidence and a stronger relationship with the ocean.
